Crystal underwent back surgery Wednesday, for a crushed vertebrae. Craig has been with her continually, taking very good care of her. I cannot imagine the heartache they going through, as well as the physical pain Crystal is in.
I met Crystal when I started doing book fairs at the child development center where she worked as assistant director. She is so sweet, patient and thoughtful, always has a smile on her face and truly loves children. When my father died, she sent me two cards; one from her and one from the teachers at the daycare.
In December we met her husband, Craig, when he came out to take pictures of all my dad's grand kids (our gift to him for Christmas). He was kind, patient and so good with all the kids. Craig is a gifted photographer and gave us awesome pictures to share with our father at his last Christmas.
Craig created a beautiful tribute to his children on his photography blog, Craig Hewitt Photography. If you have a moment, stop by there and watch the movie. Hug your children a little closer and send a prayer up for them.

How sad. I'm sorry for your friends' loss. I'll bet healing from the accident (while difficult) will not be as hard as coping with the loss of those two lovely children. :-(
This is just terriblly sad. Life changes in the blink of an eye. I hope your friend finds healing and peace in the days and years to come. The poor thing.
I can't even begin to imagine, nor, honestly, do I want to. I'll be praying for the family.
Praying... just praying
Oh no!
I am so sorry for your friend :( I will be praying for her and her family. I know her children are with the Lord now, sigh, and I pray that she will draw to the Lord for peace in her heart <3 please keep us updated!
I'm so sorry for your friends. I'll be praying for them.
How tragic! I can't imagine how they feel as I'm crying myself. How does a person get thru such a loss? God Bless them.
My heart breaks for Crystal & Craig! I watched the video of their precious children and just cried. I'm hugging mine closer today. Also, I read her caring bridge site. What an amazing couple they are! They are truly a testimony to the Lord.
